‘Industrial, scientific and Medical (ISM) radio-frequency equipment - Electromagnetic disturbance characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement’
Scope:
Equipment designed to generate RF energy for industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) purposes, including spark erosion; excluding applications in telecoms and IT, or covered by other CISPR publications.
-- Class A equipment is for use in all establishments other than domestic;
-- Class B equipment is suitable for use in domestic establishments.
Group 1 equipment is that in which the RF energy generated is necessary for its internal functioning; Group 2 equipment is that in which RF energy is intentionally generated and/or used for material inspection, analysis or treatment, and spark erosion.
